Your text and/or photos could be here!

Why would you want to share your text and photos with Grants Pass Explorer? Two words: Web Syndication.

Web syndication is a form of syndication in which a section of a website is made available for other sites to use. This could be simply by licensing the content so other people can use it, but more commonly these days web syndication refers to making Web feeds available from a site so other people can display an updating list of content from it (for example one's latest forum postings, etc.). This originated with news and blog sites but is increasingly used to syndicate any information. (This definition is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. It uses material from the Wikipedia article "Web syndiation".)

What does that mean?

In other words, you share your text and/or photos with us, and in return, we provide a link back to the original source of the content: YOUR web site. It's a great way to get links back to your site and built search engine position.

Text Syndication

All syndicated text will retain copyright notices and will receive a link back to your web site. You can add to existing pages or recommend new ones (related to Southern Oregon). The preferred amount of text is 100 - 250 words, but can be up to 1,000 words or more in length, if desired.

Image Syndication

To be considered, your quality images and photographs should be no larger than 640x480 in size. We will make a thumbnail version to be included on pages (150x104 in size). Your copyright notice will be included as well as a link back to your web site.
